Small Business Graphic Identity Design

Client: Natural Instincts Healthy Pet Center • Alpine, CA
Purpose: Natural Instincts is a unique, family-owned pet store founded in 2008 in a small community outside of San Diego, California. More than a pet store, the company aimed to significantly enhance public awareness among dog and cat owners of the vital link between what we feed our pets and their health, quality of life, and lifespan. In addition to offering a full line of naturally derived, highest quality dog and cat products, they also aimed to build a broader regional brand, and eventually grow substantially with online product sales.

To acheive these goals, Numa Marketing worked in partnership with the store owner to fully enhance their company brand, graphic identity (using their existing logo), and brand messaging. Using the existing logo design, we established a color palette, type styles, and overall look and feel of the graphic identity.

Specific support included:

  • Market research and positioning strategy
  • Design of overall graphic identity, working with established logo, including update of color palette, type styles, and design of company stationary, and establishing consistent graphic look for all marketing materials
  • Prepress on stationary items
