EcoDistricts Certified
SERVICE AND PROGRAM DESIGN | WEB DESIGN + DEVELOPMENT | BRAND IDENTITY
As a social enterprise nonprofit working in the highly competitive, global space of sustainable urban development, EcoDistricts needed a strong digital presence to help build market excitement about their unique niche of services. The site architecture needed to optimize design flexibility for in-house management while elevating best-in-class design and storytelling. Though initiated while Numa Marketing founder Tiffany Meyer was employed by EcoDistricts, we were hired to complete the project's final phase.
In partnership with our partners at New Why, we built the site's user experience and content architecture while art directing the overall design. This included directing a staff photoshoot for brand-aligned team images and acquiring a full library of gritty urban photos to bring the EcoDistricts story alive. The WordPress site thoughtfully considered a "minimum viable product" approach to the user experience and functional features to best utilize the organization's limited resources. The final site integrates the responsive Know How flex components, a custom media asset library (called the Information Exchange), a blog, an event calendar, a Woo Commerce shopping cart, a customized user interface for clients to track their multi-year progress as they pursue EcoDistricts' certification, and a searchable global registry of neighborhoods that have fulfilled EcoDistrict's Certified requirements. + view website
